These days, many Joomla templates unfortunately aren't 'free of risk'. These malicious templates include hidden links (placed on a background with the same color as the link text, placed outside of view using CSS, etc.), send data back to the developer or load (Javascript) data encrypted with functions such as base64_encode() and run via eval(). Those hidden links can potentially harm your rankings in the search engines (after all, you've got no idea what websites you're linking to) or take visitors from your site to places you'd rather not send them to.
Encrypted data in your template is even worse (and not allowed by the GPL license that Joomla templates are released under) since there is no real way of knowing what this code will do once it is decrypted. For all you know these codes might be slowing your website down considerably or send confidential data to villains.
That is why in this premium Joomla template there are no hidden links or encrypted Javascript code. There is however, a visible (yet subtle) link placed in the footer of the template. This link will always point to our own domain (http://www.themepartner.com/) or a subpage of it. If you don't want to have this link in the footer, then you can remove the link by deleting it from the source code. This action won't affect any other functionality or feature of the template.
