This template is a Search Engine Optimized (SEO) template for Joomla! We know how important it is for you to rank high in the search engines, and that's why we took care of integrating several SEO features in our template.

The template also comes with a search engine friendly menu. It follows SEO best practices by using an unordered list contain real links and is styled using CSS.

Header tags

The template is styled using HTML header tags (h1 - h6). These tags are not only a visual indicator to your visitors about the hierarchy of your website, but are also said to influence your search engine rankings. When targeting a specific keyword, try including it in a header tag!

2-1-3 source ordering

The source code for this template is ordered to have your content placed as high in the source code as possible. Any information (and especially links) placed higher in the source code are considered as more important by search engines.

Valid XHTML and CSS

Having a valid website doesn't appear to be a ranking signal on its own. However, having a website that can be crawled without any problems by search engines robots is. If the robots are unable to access you amazing content because of syntax errors, they won't be able to index it at all! Valid code ensures the crawlers are able to access and index your content.

Tableless layout

Template overrides were used on all standard Joomla components to ensure the code doesn't contain any tables. Having a website that was built using CSS (which styles using divisions rather than tables) produces a smaller source code, can be crawled better by search engines, is easier to maintain and can be styled better.

All combinations of core Joomla! SEO Settings are supported

In a blog post we've discussed the 'Joomla 1.6 SEO: Recommended Settings' (still valid for later versions of Joomla! as well). If you don't want to (or can't) use the recommended SEO settings as prescribed in the blog, you'll still be able to use this as your template! That is because the template was developed in such a way that every combination of the core Joomla! SEO settings is supported. Your web host doesn't support mod_rewrite? No problem! You want to use suffixes for your URL? Works flawlessly!
