This template is a Search Engine Optimized (SEO) template for Joomla! We know how important it is for you to rank high in the search engines, and that's why we took care of integrating several SEO features in our template.

The template is styled using HTML header tags (h1 - h6). These tags are not only a visual indicator to your visitors about the hierarchy of your website, but are also said to influence your search engine rankings. When targeting a specific keyword, try including it in a header tag!
The source code for this template is ordered to have your content placed as high in the source code as possible. Any information (and especially links) placed higher in the source code are considered as more important by search engines.

In a blog post we've discussed the 'Joomla 1.6 SEO: Recommended Settings' (still valid for later versions of Joomla! as well). If you don't want to (or can't) use the recommended SEO settings as prescribed in the blog, you'll still be able to use this as your template! That is because the template was developed in such a way that every combination of the core Joomla! SEO settings is supported. Your web host doesn't support mod_rewrite? No problem! You want to use suffixes for your URL? Works flawlessly!
SEO tip: Use descriptive alt tags for your images. Alt tags are helpful for search engines and for humans as well. Research has shown that keywords inserted in alt tags are positively correlated with higher rankings in the search engines! As always, don't overdo your keyword targeting.
